In the last year, the eco movement hit the fashion industry by storm. Due to the fickle nature of the fashion industry coupled with its lack of attention span, this trend, it seems, has already played itself out. At the Toronto Week of Style, we believe that this is irresponsible, unimaginative and incorrect. If eco was the trend, then sustainability is the movement. Finding simple ways to reduce our carbon footprint and find ways to create a system that incites change and growth is not only a easy thing to do, it's also very necessary.

With this presentation, the Toronto Week of Style furthers it's vanguard position in the area of sustainability and fashion with its' partnership with Canada's most comprehensive and important sustainable retail experience - GreenisBlack. Located in the heart of the city of Toronto, (624 Yonge Street, Just South of Bloor), this retail experience is proving to the market that a focus on sustainable clothing (including the methods around how the pieces are made) is a viable business proposition and one that needs to be embraced in order for the market to grow in to the next phase of its evolution. The GreenisBlack will be featuring the following designers:
