A City Without Definition Is Now Defined

Toronto, Canada (March 15 2007) – The Style Council of Canada officially declares the City of Toronto, the Global Capital of Style and is asking Torontonians for the reasons why they think this at a website : http://globalcapitalofstyle.com.

Head of the Style Council of Canada, Graham Pace says, "Locally, Torontonians do many things very well and the scope of these things are always huge. ie- Film Fest, Caribana, Gay Pride Parade, however we have an identity crisis while at the same time being the most hated city in the country. Internationally, Americans are confused with the Toronto brand and didn't know really what we are about and for us to launch an event that will be the Official Start to Summer both locally and internationally, this needed to be addressed." "

We wanted to really focus on and communicate locally and internationally the fact that when Torontonians do something, they do it big. The idea being that when you come to the city, you can expect an experience that will blow you away...and the Toronto Week of Style is the event that showcases and celebrates that," continues Zaigham Zulqernain, Executive Producer of the Toronto Week of Style.
